Min(inputarray, axis =None, out =None, keepdims =None, initial =None, where =None) The purposes of the arguments of this function are the same as the max function that has been explained in the part of the max function. This returns the minimum value of the input array. Example: Using min function. Numpy.minimum¶ numpy.minimum (x1, x2, /, out=None,., where=True, casting='samekind', order='K', dtype=None, subok=True , signature, extobj) = minimum'¶ Element-wise minimum of array elements. Compare two arrays and returns a new array containing the element-wise minima. If one of the elements being compared is a NaN, then that element is returned. NumPy is a Python library used for working with arrays. It also has functions for working in domain of linear algebra, fourier transform, and matrices. NumPy was created in 2005 by Travis Oliphant. It is an open source project and you can use it freely.
Numpy.argmin(a, axis=None, out=None) source ¶ Returns the indices of the minimum values along an axis.
Return the minimum of an array or minimum along an axis.
Input data.
Axis or axes along which to operate. By default, flattened input isused.
If this is a tuple of ints, the minimum is selected over multiple axes, instead of a single axis or all the axes as before.
Alternative output array in which to place the result. Mustbe of the same shape and buffer length as the expected output.See Output type determination for more details.
If this is set to True, the axes which are reduced are leftin the result as dimensions with size one. With this option, the result will broadcast correctly against the input array.
If the default value is passed, then keepdims will not bepassed through to the
amin
method of sub-classes ofndarray
, however any non-default value will be. If thesub-class’ method does not implement keepdims anyexceptions will be raised.![Numpy Min Numpy Min](/uploads/1/1/8/4/118485179/311007408.jpg)

Notes
NaN values are propagated, that is if at least one item is NaN, thecorresponding min value will be NaN as well. To ignore NaN values(MATLAB behavior), please use nanmin.
Don’t use
amin
for element-wise comparison of 2 arrays; whena.shape[0]
is 2, minimum(a[0],a[1])
is faster thanamin(a,axis=0)
.Examples
Notice that the initial value is used as one of the elements for which theminimum is determined, unlike for the default argument Python’s maxfunction, which is only used for empty iterables.
Numpy Minor
Notice that this isn’t the same as Python’s
default
argument.
